If not you, then who?

If you are building something that can make Sweden and Europe more secure – and want help turning it into a solution the market will actually adopt – this program is for you.

Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical challenge – it is a societal, economic, and strategic priority. Across Europe, cyber threats are accelerating, regulation is tightening, and dependence on secure digital infrastructure is growing fast. At the same time, buyers are actively searching for solutions – but only those that are credible, usable, and grounded in real needs.

Startups that understand real problems and can build trust early, the opportunity to create impact has never been stronger. And this is where Cybercampus Startup Program comes in.

Cybercampus Startup Program – what is it?

This is not another generic startup program. It is a six-month, focused program designed to help early-stage cybersecurity startups turn strong ideas into solutions that customers trust, buy, and adopt – by connecting you directly to Sweden’s and Europe’s leading cybersecurity ecosystem.

The Startup program is being developed in collaboration with Cybercampus Sverige, a national initiative that conducts research, innovation and education in cybersecurity and cyber defence.

One program, one ecosystem

The Cybercampus Startup Program is built around one principle: build the right thing before building it right. Cybersecurity buyers are conservative, risk-aware, and evidence-driven. Startups that succeed are not just technically strong – they understand real problems, procurement logic, regulation, and trust-building.

The program unites the full Swedish cybersecurity ecosystem, bringing together actors that startups rarely get access to in one place:

  • Leading universities and research institutes;

  • Public authorities and government agencies;

  • Major industrial and infrastructure operators;

  • Established cybersecurity companies and integrators;

  • Investors and innovation partners active in cybersecurity.

What you will work on

The program modules are developed in close collaboration with experts from the Cybercampus ecosystem, including academia, public authorities, industry, and established cybersecurity practitioners and are designed to complement existing innovation support provided by our partners.

Teams may also participate selectively in relevant modules, either independently or together with their current coach, to strengthen areas where cybersecurity-specific knowledge, credibility, or ecosystem access is critical.

Time commitment

2–3 hours of scheduled sessions per week, with flexible remote and in-person participation options.

The program structure is built around each individual startup and designed to guide and accelerate work you are already doing – not to create parallel obligations that pull you away from building your business.

The modules focus on challenges that are unique to cybersecurity markets, including:

  • Understanding the cybersecurity ecosystem and stakeholder landscape;

  • Buyer logic, procurement, and decision-making in security-critical environments;

  • Trust, credibility, and evidence requirements in cybersecurity markets;

  • Go-to-market strategies for long, complex, and risk-sensitive sales cycles;

  • Regulation, compliance, and policy landscapes in the EU and Sweden;

  • Product and market validation through strategic introductions within the Cybercampus partner network;

  • Preparing for investment in cybersecurity contexts and increasing readiness for early-stage funding.

The program is designed to add specialized cybersecurity insight and access needed to reach real-world adoption.

Who should apply?

We welcome diverse backgrounds and innovation types, both deeptech, but also needs-driven and problem-led approaches. Who should apply:

  • A team is a must, incorporation is not a prerequisite;

  • Sector focus: teams within cybersecurity or adjacent industries;

  • Origin-agnostic: Research-based, needs-driven, or problem-led innovations from Sweden;

  • Growth mindset: Committed to market validation, trust-building, and real-world adoption.
