Demo Day No. 9: Eight Healthtech Startups Take the Stage in Oslo

Eight startups from the ninth cohort of the DigitalWell Ventures accelerator pitched their digital health solutions to a panel of Nordic investors at Demo Day in Oslo. After 12 intensive weeks of company building, mentoring and investment preparation, the founders took the stage to present solutions spanning everything from AI-driven skin assessments to tools that reduce emergency room wait times.

Strong Pitches, Sharp Questions

Demo Day is the final milestone of the DigitalWell Accelerator, a 12-week program that prepares healthtech founders for investment and growth. For the eight companies in Cohort 9, the afternoon in Oslo was the moment to show what they had built and where they are heading.

The startups that pitched were ProHat, APC Health Ventures, CareLogic AB, MediQueue Solutions AB, Dr Hud, OptiMed AI, SALUTO and MicroHeal. Their solutions cover both individual patient needs and system-level challenges in healthcare, reflecting the broad scope of innovation in the Nordic healthtech sector.

Facing the founders was a panel of experienced investors who brought both tough questions and actionable feedback. The panel included Jørn Haanæs (VC investor and Associate Partner at Climentum Capital), Linn-Cecilie Linnemann (Partner at Lumo Labs), Marc Wullings (Angel Investor and Startup Advisor), Regine Larsen Lindtvedt (CVC at If Insurance), Samuel Danielsson (Angel Investor and Tech Expert), Steinar Svalesen (VC and Advisor at Anchora Capital) and Valeria Temple (Angel Investor and International Business Developer).

A panel of Nordic investors provided sharp feedback and insights throughout the afternoon.

An Ecosystem Effort

Demo Day was made possible through a collaboration between DigitalWell Ventures, DigitalWell Arena and Xplorico. Jonas Matthing and Lina Svensberg from DigitalWell Arena joined the event to share insights on Demand Acceleration, an approach to procurement-friendly innovation that is highly relevant for healthtech startups targeting the public sector.

Demo Day gives us the opportunity to scan the horizon and find inspiring examples of how new technologies are being put to practical use, says Jonas Matthing, Head of Operations at DigitalWell Arena.
